I want to thank everyone, especially Dave Coleman, Billy from Philly, Jimmy Wasson, Larry Lloyd, Pat Differ and so many of you for the support of the Wings Reunion this May in Philadelphia. The comments from everyone I have received have been heartwarming and joyous.
Unfortunately, with the Coronavirus being an issue that won’t go away, and how the reunion would involve travel, a gathering of more than 10 people in one place, and the age of all the Wings Alumni (yes I’m 60 so on the cusp) so after consultation with Larry Lloyd and Jim Wasson, we are postponing the reunion.
Before reaching this decision, I asked myself, “what would Sy do,” as Sy Roseman was nothing but cautious as about things. So channeling my inner Sy, I made the call.
This was not a decision made lightly, but for the health safety and welfare of all involved, as we want to be playing the game of life in the future longer than the National Lacrosse League lasted.
We do plan to eventually hold a “Wings Reunion,” so as much fun as it would have been in May to hold the gathering, safety over peanut butter and lacrosse stick infused insanity, and the rescheduling of the opportunity to tell, or relive all the stories of the past, has to rule the day.
If there are any questions, please reach out to me.

Fallen Wings
Wing favorite, Jim Lynch, passed away over the weekend in British Columbia after a long battle is cancer. The smiling western Canadian will always be remembered for his quick wit and warming grin. Rest in Peace, Jim.
Long time Peterborough resident Tom “Tumbles” Phillips, the 1974 Wings Equipment Manager, and more importantly, stick technician. passed away in October, 2022 of a heart attack at his home in the Boro. The entire team and Wings Alumni mourn his loss. An accomplished golfer and a Professor of Economics, “Tumbles” had a zest for life. Rest in Peace, Tom.
